◑ Do you courier works within New Zealand?
Yes*, at the customers expense. Fastways are our preferred courier company. Contact us to get a quote.
*Please note occasionally we will not post a work due to the fragility, or will advise against it.
◑ Can you ship works overseas?
Yes*, at the customers expense, (although they are more commonly transported via aeroplane than boat). We usually do this through Pack n Send, and are able to provide you with insured & non-insured shipping quotes.

◑ What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, Eftpos, & Cash payments available in-store. For over the phone/online sales, funds are payable via Internet Banking.
◑ Can I put an item on hold?
Yes, we are happy to hold an item for you, up to 2 working days.
◑ Do I need to pay for the work immediately?
Unless discussed prior, we require payment in full for works at the time of sale. We do, however, offer a complimentary 2-month layby service with only 10% deposit required. Contact us for more information.
◑ Do you take commission requests?
Personally, no, unless you’re after stick figures. However, many of our artists will, at their discretion. Contact us to get the process started.
◑ Are you taking on new artists?
Whilst our books are very full, we do occasionally take on new artists if the work is something we are after/different from what we have. The best way to get in touch with us if you’re looking for representation is to email us and include images/ a portfolio of your recent works.
◑ Do you rent out your studio/exhibition space to artists who aren’t affiliated with the gallery?
Unfortunately, this is not something we offer at this point of time.
◑ What’s up with the AMG abbreviation?
I get sick of writing Art Matakana Gallery constantly - Bayley.
